We embraced Christmas early this year when we launched New Theatre Royal’s Christmas show, Santa Claus – The Musical on the hottest day of the year with a press day on 19 July!
The press day went without a hitch and marked the start of our Christmas show campaign. Having only re-opened a year earlier, the Portsmouth theatre is still building its core audience, which means it relies heavily on PR coverage to spread the word of its wonderful shows.
With the help of an all-star cast, we secured PR coverage on Radio Solent, The News, The Daily Echo, Wave 105, Beautiful South Magazine, Chichester Observer, Etc Magazine, Portsmouth Life, Southsea Lifestyle and The Stage amongst others.
Combined with our integrated social media campaign, we saw fantastic results including record-breaking audiences for the historic theatre.
