You may think that the summer holidays bring a lull in PR and marketing, but where one client slows down to enjoy the summer break, another’s busy season starts to take off. A client who is all about the warmer weather is Itchenor Sailing Club. The appearance of the sun signals the start of the busy racing season for Itchenor with some notable events filling up the calendar including Schools Week, Junior Fortnight and this year, the hosting of the Mirror Nationals!
We take a proactive role in these events delivering social media activity and targeted PR campaigns. This year we secured some fantastic coverage in local and sailing media outlets, including Etc Magazine, Sussex Life, BBC Sussex, The Observer Series and Yachts and Yachting.
There has been even more of a buzz at the Club this year as two Itchenor members, Sophie Ainsworth and Ben Saxton, were selected for Team GB at the 2016 Olympics in Rio. It has been great to work with both of these talented sailors to promote the high calibre of training and racing at the Club.
As the summer sailing season slows down, we are due to start working on the bi-annual members magazine which sees us project manage the publication from content planning and copy-editing to design and printing.
