Especially in the current economic climate, business longevity is an achievement to be shouted from the rooftops. So when we discovered our client Warrenders Jewellers had occupied their Sutton premises for half a century, we knew we had to mark the occasion with something special.
A third generation family jeweller, Warrenders has been a fixture on Cheam Road in Sutton for the past 50 years. As a long standing jewellery store with an incredibly loyal customer base, we assumed many locals would have their own Warrenders stories to tell, but when we scratched beneath the surface what we uncovered was really rather magical.
From stories of treasured jewellery sourced to mark life’s milestones to emotionally charged bespoke pieces designed to hold loved ones close. Generations of Sutton families had celebrated their special moments with beautiful jewellery from Warrenders.
In honour of the store’s semicentennial in Sutton, we decided to dig a little deeper and celebrate the many love stories Warrenders has helped mark over the past 50 years.
The campaign centred around the collection of stories we uncovered from loyal customers of all ages. To support the wonderful stories and content we also worked with the team to launch a new Golden Collection of jewellery in honour of the store’s golden anniversary on Cheam Road. The collection provided customers with the opportunity to mark their next milestone with a new treasured piece of jewellery, be it a birthday, anniversary or just because.
The content generated by the Love Stories campaign really captured the hearts of the local community inspiring others to come forward with their own stories connected to Warrenders.
The campaign was shared across all marketing channels including social media platforms, e-newsletters and in local press coverage.
As the anniversary fell during 2020 when the store was closed for a large part of the year due to the pandemic, the campaign actually provided an unexpected but welcome injection of positive and uplifting content for Warrenders to share with their loyal customers. Reminding us all how important love, family and community are.
