Having worked with Southend Barns since their launch in 2012, in 2015 it was agreed that the brand could do with a refresh to ensure it represented everything the stylish venue stood for. Set on a working farm and built using the latest environmentally sustainable technology the venue is also the epitome of style and luxury; it was important that the branding could reflect all of this.
Working with their designer at Insight Studio, we came up with a beautiful new logo that features a hand-drawn lapwing design with rose-gold details. The lapwing was chosen as it is indigenous to the Chichester Harbour area and can often be sited on Southend Farm while the rose-gold signified the soft and understated luxury found at the barns.
When creating the literature that features the new logo, we suggested going for a heavy uncoated stock to give the brochure a high quality feel while using rose-gold foiling to incorporate their luxurious style.
The brochures look beautiful and the client is delighted with the results. We are now working on updating all the literature in the same format.
